The Technology

Dr. Muller uses state-of-the-art technology to perform her laser vision correction procedures. All procedures are performed using an “all laser” technique, meaning that Dr. Muller performs each step of her laser vision correction procedures using lasers to maximize safety and precision.

For LASIK flap creation, Dr. Muller employs a high-performance ZEISS VisuMax femtosecond laser which allows optimal safety, extreme precision, speed, and a gentle technique.

The ZEISS VisuMax femtosecond laser provides highly accurate outcomes due to its precision ZEISS optics, an extremely focused laser beam, minimum laser pulse energy, and high pulse frequency which, when combined, create extremely accurate incisions at precisely the desired depth.

In addition to the ZEISS VisuMax’s cutting precision, perfectly matched energy settings and spot spacings contribute to a sophisticated laser ablation which results in a very smooth stromal bed. The auto-centration function of the ZEISS VisuMax ensures centration of the laser treatment. The laser pulse frequency of the ZEISS VisuMax allows for short treatment times making the procedure comfortable for patients.

To leverage and maximize both safety and precision Dr. Muller combines the use of the ZEISS VisuMax femtosecond laser in LASIK flap creation with the use of the NIDEK EC-5000 excimer laser to achieve the desired refractive error correction.

The NIDEK EC-5000 excimer laser platform employs an innovative, brilliantly precise scanning technology which creates a uniformly ablated surface allowing for the optimization of completely customized ablations with the highest degree of accuracy.

It is Dr. Muller’s top-notch education and training, along with her 30 years of surgical experience, combined with the use of these intelligent technologies which allows Dr. Muller’s patients to benefit from consistently safe laser vision correction procedures with exceptional treatment accuracy and outstanding outcomes.
